A Bit About Me
Before becoming a counsellor, I was on a long journey of figuring things out, I often felt lost and disconnected from the world around me. Growing up, I knew I was gay from an early age and I struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia, which left me feeling isolated and misunderstood. Without support or understanding, I turned to unhealthy coping strategies and eventually developed an eating disorder and OCD just to get by.
Counselling was a real turning point for me. It gave me space to untangle my thoughts and feelings, make sense of what I was going through, and choose differently. That process changed everything and showed me how powerful it is to have someone truly listen and help you find your way forward
That’s why I became a counsellor — to offer that same kind of support to others. Because I get it. I’ve felt overwhelmed, lost and stuck, and I wanted to help others through those difficult times. I also know it’s possible to come out the other side feeling more at peace, and more like yourself.
Things that help me are being with my dog, spending time outdoors and taking moments to draw. They help me feel grounded and connected. There’s something about the simplicity of those moments, whether I’m walking in nature, sketching quietly or just sitting with my dog, that helps me slow down and breathe. They remind me of the importance of presence and self-kindness, which sit at the heart of how I approach counselling and life.
My goal is to help you feel understood and supported while you find your own path. You’re not alone in this, and things can get better.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here to listen and guide you.
